Fog

I supposed to ride this morning. It's 7:19 and it's foggy as all get out. It's sorta taking the bloom off the rose. Sure, I'd do my commute ride in it, but somehow going out for fun doesn't seem that inviting.

Fog. Yech.

I know of what you speaketh. Rode down to Santa Cruz and back yesterday. Fog all the way, except for about 15 minutes. My glasses were wet so I couldn't see. My windbreaker was wet. Worst part was my toes were freezing because water had penetrated my shoes and socks. Ugh.

Hey, but it could be worse - it could be raining! (OK, what movie was that from?)

It's clearing up some and supposed to be gone by ten. Maybe I'll see you there a little later on Curtis. We're going to do the groceries first - then think about riding. :-)

Young Frankenstein
I bought a Gore jacket and other gear to stay warm so now I have no excuse for slugging it out in miserable weather.

Clear skies in San Mateo Park with some ground fog. Wife and I will be riding by 10AM.

No fog here in Cowtown. Heading for a new home auction in a bit, but we'll be riding this afternoon.

Weather -- gives you something to gripe about...

As someone already pointed out, "Young Frankenstein". Which is really funny because it played on TV this morning just after you typed in your post!!

Curtis, I'm with you. I'm a fair weather rider when I'm doing it "for fun" I've got better things to do than make myself miserable on the back of a bike.

Yup! Gene Wilder and that saucer-eyed Marty Feldman. They were classics!

Nothing but blue skies over here ... but then again, I can't get out ... on-call So in the meantime, watching ... or should I say suffering through watching the raiders ...maybe I'll turn to the other game.

We ended up going out at 8:30, into the fog, headed toward Antioch's Empire Mine Road and then out to
Los Vaqueros Reservoir.
It wasn't that cold, and I dressed right, so it was actually nice. Then we started dropping in and out of the soup. It was delightful. The light was beautiful as we rode along the edges of gloomy and bright.

I was out in the coastal soup on Saturday.
Didn't much care but it was a pretty brutal day to be riding a bike out on the highways of America.
Today was pretty darned beautiful but it was not a "ride" day.
We'll see what Monday brings

I headed out at 10:30, all dressed for fog, but it was almost like it was melting away before me. I did a lot of climbing and descending, so I did get some use out of the vest and the arm and leg warmers - on, then off, then on, then off, then on.

Great pics ccorlew! I really love being in that top most part of the fog layer where it's foggy but sunny at the same time.
