With all this talk of the Chico century, how about the Delta Century instead? It is flatter and much closer (Stockton). It is also only $45.
Does anyone know anything about this ride?
Thanks.

Sounds flat and fast. Too bad I'm doing the Wine Country Century on Saturday. I couldn't be gone riding both days.

My son and I did the 100k Delta last year; it's OK. It's flatter than a pancake and the only elevation that registers with me are the freeway overpasses and a couple of the levees. It's a pretty laid back ride, though last year this pinhead and his family yelled at me because I didn't say "On your left, pinhead" as we passed.
Be forewarned that if there's any kind of wind, you're in for a LONG slog into a headwind that will make you wish you were either 1) on a tandem or 2) drafting one.
Have fun, guys.
