I think it's the tremendous strength I have as I pull back for each stroke. It puts a lot of pressure on the unit.

I climbed out of bed this morning -that's gotta count for at least 20K, right? Wait, before you answer - it was before 4:30.

Now how much would you pay? Don't answer yet, because if you call now you'll also receive...

If someone is paying to get up before 4:30, they owe me a lot of money.

I don't have an altimeter so I am somewhat dependent on others and bikely for elevation gain. My standard pre-work loop from home to Page Mill/Moody is 26.2 miles and 1469-1900 ft depending on how many times I climb Moody road. I was tracking my rides on bikejournal but after the intro period you are severely restricted as to categories. I'll either pay up or throw together a spreadsheet and keep track there.

If you are lacking you are welcome to join me as this adds 12.2k in one ride.

When I kept track, it was about 360k/year, 40k a month during the real riding season. Powertap doesn't track elevation though and edge is for mtb only now. Everest challenge accounts for nearly 10% of my climbing a year... Probably climbed more when I lived in SB.

Maybe a vertical ratio... vertical feet/miles. Gives those of us who can't ride as many miles/hours a fighting chance.
