This weekend's ride ...

... nothing planned ??? What's up with that? Well, I was thinking of doing Sierra - Felter, then Calaveras back (essentially the last part of TofC Stage 3). Anyone else have any better ideas for a ride this weekend?

Anyone up for latching onto the Roasters ride or the Pen Velo "re-group" ride that starts at Canada/92 @ 8:00 Saturday?

Well, I guess the main question for me is ... how long will I be able to hang in with them? I know I can hang with Alto Velo B ride until they get to a slight incline. For example, when they go up Sandhill. Yeah, Sandhill is not much of a hill, but that's where they lose me.

Anyhow, I might be up for that if there are no other rides planned.

I'm doing my 4th 200k for the R-12 on Saturday. It's Jo's East Bay route. She's celebrating her anniversary so I won't have a riding buddy. I'd wait and do it later in the month, but my anniversary is next weekend and the weekend after that is my first tri. Leaving a ride for the R-12 until the last weekend of the month is a bad idea.

Hopefully, if I can shirk my responsibilities of household chores, I'll be riding outside of Auburn again.

Might be down for that (Pen Velo).

Otherwise, whatever anyone comes up with.

Does the PenVelo ride still split at Alpine into racers and recreational riders? Back when I used to ride with them, Carlo Simonetti would take the century/recreational crowd on a slower ride down to Los Altos. I don't know where the racers went - I could never keep up!

Don't know. This would be the first time joining them. Come along... at least if we get dropped, we can still ride on our own.

True, I mean we'll be like our own mini group..

Plus if we split from their group, we would just be riding in the Peninsula, which is probably what I would be doing otherwise as it is.

Hmmm mini-group.... Think we could organize our own surprise lead-out sprints for the markers, or a brake-away towards the finish.

So meet at Canada and 92 at 8 am? I'll plan to be there.

Bostic???? He'll probably ride to the start.

If somebody wants to go to a engagement party for me, I'll do the ride on a Wal-Mart Big Wheel. I'll even drive the carpool mobile!!

You'd never guess what I'd rather be doing
