Bought a Specialized Expedition Elite Women's model tonight. I wanted a step through frame for an "around town" utility bike. The Globe would have been better, but Specialized is sold out of them and next year they won't be step through. I was trying to avoid the front shock. They'll swap out the 1.95 tires for 1.5 Armadillos, and I have a rack that's going on the back. Got to figure out the best bag to put on it.

Dude!!! Congratulations! That's my favorite folder.

I'm in Oregon this weekend and too my Mini with me. Did about 50 miles around the Ashland/Medford area. Took the Mini to Crater Lake, too, but it was snowy and didn't get to ride it. I'll be posting pics later.

Congrats again on a superb choice.

If your commute involves mass transit, then a folder with good foldability (i.e., speed and compact) should be considered. This is also true if you want something that you can stash underneath your desk at work.

I got my Brompton originally because I didn't want to have my roadie banged up while tied to the bike rack on Caltrain, and I also wanted something I can bring in to restaurants/bars, instead of the roadie being locked up outside.

I've been eying a Bilenky Midlands, they look absolutely stunning, and built right for loaded touring. Probably be a few years before i drop that kind of cash on a bike though. Of course, with 5 bikes currently in my studio apartment, i don't really have room for another bike!
