My next bike is ...
... so we all never have enough bikes. I am starting to browse and shop for a folder. Just took a test ride with a Dahon earlier today.
So what are you eyeing at?
Oh, BTW, if anyone has any tips or pointers on folders, let me know.

Coincidentally, I ordered a Curve D3 last week to replace my commuting beater before its brakes get too scary. Apparently, orders from Dahon take some time to ship. I chose it for the hub gearing and 16" wheels.

The Brompton is the easiest folding folder I've seen. I had a Birdy before. While it looked cool and rode nicely, it didn't fold as easily as the Brompton.

I already have a nice roadie and track bike; I was thinking about getting a cyclocross bike or a touring bike next but realistically, I will not use them for much of anything.
I think I'd rather refresh my '93 Serotta w/ 9 or 10 speed DA and a new wheelset.

My beater fixie's been relegated to the old trainer.... I'd like to have a classic fixie.
My old MTB was converted to an urban commuter with lights and fenders, I'd like to have a real MTB again.
Never had a cyclocross bike... I want one... with a triple.
I'd also like to have a titanium suitcase bike with S&S couplers and Campy to go do Ride the Rockies.
And for a fast folding bike, you guys must go watch the Bike Friday video about their new Tikit - seriously like 10 seconds and it's done. More of a BART bike than a European touring thing but that may be what you're looking for. Looks slicker than a Dahon too.
And finally, a Penny Farthing.

You need to tell us what you're looking in a folder. I liked by swift, but wanted a front derailleur, that's why I went with the Bike Friday. Dahon's are nice (my first folder was the Speed P8), but they use some proprietary bits that seem to change from model year to model year.
Are you looking for a better fold, or a better ride?
Dahon Speed P8
Xootr Swift
BikeFriday Pocket Rocket

I'm just looking for a commuter bike. Nothing really fancy. I guess my priority would be a better fold. I only plan to take it commuting to and from work.

My next bike will probably be a Specialized Tarmac SL2 or a Cannondale Super Six. I promised myself if I manage to win a race this season, that'll be my prize. Of course, with my recent results, the chance of that is approaching zero.

Yeah I really want to swap frames to a Super Six, with the BB30 ceramic and SI crankset. Ugghhh... money
