Need some directions :)
Okay, this is my little dilema. I have a friend who is trying to clear out a bucket list before moving back to the east coast. One of the items is "Ride bike across the Golden Gate". We'll be coming up from San Jose, so I was thinking about parking at the fields, over by sportsbasement. Looking at the roads from bikely, I have no idea where to go.. any help would be appreciated. Thanky!

Here's a couple of parking spots closer to the bridge but parking
at Chrissy Field or near Sports Basement is good too.

There's easy and free parking very close from the bridge. Drive West up Merchant Rd. from the bridge parking lot. The street goes uphill to a stop where it Lincoln Blvd.. Cross Lincoln on Ralston up to Storey Av. where there are baseball fields on the right side. You can park on the grass across from the fields. If there's no free spot keep going until Storey reaches a small house along another field. There's a parking lot on the right of the house and a larger one on its left. You can park there for as long as you need and it's only 1/4 mile from the bridge.
