I need to take a break :( May I indulge U?

scuse my prose but after my xrays...Hip busitus + Hip/Knee crepidation
little break is needed...

No Escape From Amazonia... And I Like It! With a wee bit patronizing tone, she speaks…
“I know you’re a tough guy, but you need to take it easy.” Slow down on the riding”!
With those words I was devastated! I thought I had been so clever when I took advantage of my health plan and surrounded myself with female healthcare workers. I had no idea… I would have never thought that women are so demanding and actually have the gall to tell me what to do! I had been the sweet talker, the ladies man, a regular Casanova! Now look at me! How could I have been such a fool? The tables have turned, it all backfired and I’ve lost control. I am but a spineless drone…

I have Anna – my gorgeous and funny, soft spoken African American health counselor for my experimental drug program has become my spiritual adviser. “Let go and let God” she says, then starts explaining the psychology of the female mind to me like I don’t know already, jeeesh! …Karina – Who I have kind of a crush on, very cute, with jet black hair, beautiful eyes, infectious smile. Very strong young 50sh Jewish woman…(I have a serious weakness for that type) and one the most intelligent people I’ve ever met with a beautiful sing song English accent. She’s my Social Worker and Therapist who analyzes me and gives me creative writing assignments and then boss’s me around about handling life and people. (She so fits the character of secondary protagonist in my new book project.)…So then there’s Cathy my baby sitter and wife telling me what to wear and how to comb my hair, or that my socks don’t match. WTF. “Oppession” I am down trodden… a broken, broken man…

Now I have Doctor Annie- very hot! She’s a very young beautiful M.D. with a sparkling intelligence. The strength to throw me around in different positions while telling me how inflexible cyclists can be! (Racist) as she informs me I’m what’s known as a very active older gentleman (oww! Truth!) …Telling me how I should ride my bike now! Saying I’ve done more than anyone else my age could possibly do in eight months. This has all backfired and I am a beaten man… These women are running my life and ruining my image! Woe is me…How could I be so unfortunate!

I guess I’m lucky!

Looks like I need to slow down for a bit.

SLOW DOWN?!

Did you say SLOW DOWN? Nobody says SLOW DOWN until we say slow down. Did we SLOW DOWN when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no! Because when the going gets tough.....

Credit to Bluto Blutarsky....

This sounds like the perfect excuse to go the the Tour de Fat this Saturday. It's a bike party, not a ride!

Hmm. Does that mean slow down when you ride, or ride less often? If the former, then I guess the Canada TT is a no go. Tour de Fat would be fun though.

hey Pete,

Please check your PM. I had an important request.
I need a high res. picture you took on the BF Oct 27, 2007 Mnt Tam ride. Especially the one of me, my friend Tony (the 2 wearing Arrogant ******* jerseys) and Iris, the (green Alto Velo jersey).

Thanks

Jin

Hey Pete - if you want to take a break but still get in some riding, just come riding with me and the girls. We're slow enough that it will seem like you're just sitting around.

Maybe I can take you for a ride on Alan's tandem? (Just don't mind that I won't be able to see the road.)

Hey I'm already at your door! look out your peep hole...see me? seeme!!!!?

Actually they called me back for more xray's , some shadows or something. Probably my shady character, but I'm home now and I haven't heard from the doctor. So that's a good thing. I did a no no 30 mile today on the way home from the hospital, but it was pretty excruciating : ( Maybe three days off the bike might help. But I disintegrate pretty rapidly, unlike you young children...

Pete

Yeah, just plop yourself on the front of Alan's ricksh--umm, tandem, and you'll be taken care of. I think it even has braze-ons for an ibuprofen cage! Surround yourself with some other slow people to play lookout, and you've got the makings of a Heal Pete Ride!

As I was typing this, Queen's Bicycle Race came on the electro-tune-box. Sounds like a ringing endorsement to me.

Hey Pete, you now have an excuse to update your yellow taxi bike. You can ride all day long and still keep the girls happy.
