American River Trail Ride, September now

Is anyone interested in an American River Trail ride? I'm thinking of scheduling one for September, the 13th or 14th. August just isn't going to work for me.

Since I'm scheduling it, I figure I get to pick the starting location . So, Hagan Park in Rancho Cordova. There is a parking area right before entering the park, right past the High School on Chase Dr. We'll meet there and avoid the $5 parking fee.

The weather then is unknown as far as temp. So we'll leave start time up in the air.

The loop is about 65 miles if we do the climb up to Folsom lake. There are lots of places to fill water bottles as well. Bring snacks to get you through the ride.

Lots of places to break and regroup.

That leaves me with three questions.

1. Who's interested?
2. Is the 13th or 14th better for you?
3. Would you like to do the 400ft. climb up to Folsom Lake?

I'm interested, but that's Labor Day weekend. Is that the best weekend to try the ARBT?

Also, I'm in for climbing to Lake Folsom.

Oh, I didn't realize that was Labor Day weekend. Yup, likely a bad idea. The weekend before that is the "Ride for a Reason" so that's out, and I'm out of town the weekend before that. Looks like Sept.

How about the 13th or 14th of September?

That sounds good. Either day. With luck, it won't be as warm, either.

I'd be interested for sure! Either date should be fine, it's too far away to have a preference or anticipate a conflict :-)

Sept 13 and 14 are currently open on the family calendar but I'm more available on Saturdays.

I haven't volunteered for the MS150 that weekend yet. If I don't go to Tahoe I'd be there. I'd try to bring along some REB riders, too.

Looks like there's enough interest. Let's make it Saturday the 13th. I'll go ahead and make a new post.
