The super laid back saturday ride!

Saturday my nearly 7yo son and I are going for a ride on ARBT. We'll head from home here in Rancho to Old Sac for lunch, and then back (I expect it around 38-40 miles). I expect pacing around 9mph. Lots of stops too. We're going to leave here around 9:15. If anyone wants to join in, I expect we'll be passing William Pond park by 9:30/9:40 or so.

Please post back here if you plan to join us. I'm sure my son would welcome some other youngsters to ride with.

He's almost 7, one more month to go. And yep, he sure can. So long as it's flat, he can take breaks, and we keep the pace at about 9.5mph.

I might see you. I'm going to be out there with a friend of mine. We'll be going decidedly faster than super laid back though. I think she's going to try and punish me on her new bike

It's good for ya! I'll be on my Bianchi for Saturday's ride. It's geared lower and easier to ride at Jacob's pace.

Well, tomorrow morning we're going to attempt this. It will be the longest ride my son has done to date, by about 10 miles. I think he'll be able to handle it. We're going to pace fairly slow and see how it goes.

We're leaving home around 9:15 and will pass William Pond park about 10 or 15 minutes after. If anyone wants to join in for all or part of the ride, we'd welcome the company. Bring out a friend, spouse, boyfriend/girlfriend, or child and join us!
