The San Francisco Bicycle Election endorses a number of local candidates as friendly to the bicycle infrastructure in the city:

as many cyclists as I've seen about the Bay area, this is a good thing.. Get cyclists together into a voting block and politicans might pay more attention to us. How about inviting politicians to local bike advocacy groups. Make our presence felt.

This sort of thing does happen in San Francisco. Not so much in the suburbs.

I think they would pay more attention to a cyclist PAC that donated gobs of money.

The SVBC is the main bicycle advocacy organization in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties: https://bikesiliconvalley.org/about

They have a lower membership (and thus lower effectiveness) than the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition.
