Rides/Routes in East San Jose Area

Hi all, just got back into cycling again and was wondering what routes were out there. I live near Mt. Hamilton so I obviously know that one. I also know the route to Milpitas/Fremont limits. What else is there in my area (not too familiar with rides on San Felipe, never went long enough up it). Thanks in advance! :)

- Sierra Road

- Quimby up to Hwy 130 to make Hamilton tougher :) Quimby is a must do.

Thanks USPSPRO! Question, is Quimby easier from the Mt. Hamilton or from White Rd? Same with Sierra (Calaveras or from Piedmont)? I've done those when I was a CAT 4 in college but my memory is bad as well as my fitness. :)

It's easier from the Hamilton side where it meets HW 130. That is only a 600' climb up to the top where as the White road side is the long steep climb. Same with Sierra road, coming up Felter is not as steep.

For Quimby, you want to start from around White Rd.

It basically a "shortcut" that bypasses the first section of hwy 130 and comes in right before the start of the second climb of Hwy 130. It's much steeper that anything on Hwy 130.

For Sierra, start down near Piedmont and head toward Felter, which you will descend toward Calaveras

Go up Metcalf, then loop around and down San Felipe.
