Gladiator & Cheetah Home page

Just started putting together the Gladiators site...Not sure where I'm going with it, but I'll make it cool.

Just started putting picts up so if you're not in there...you will be, give me time.

https://www.zathlete.com/teams/1993

BTW- the definition for Gladiators/Cheetahs is anyone within the NorCal group that on occasion enjoys beating the crap out of themselves on the bike for a few hours! Any difficult ride can be considered for Gladiators/Cheetahs. It's not a new group, but a club within a club. I'm still Nor Cal all the way 100%!

The rides are usually semi-no drop but sometimes you just quit and go home!

Tonight's Gladiator ride in San Mateo is still on...But it's kind of an easy warm up for the weekends LOW Key challenge. The only thing difficult is the dark.

Anybody interested in Gladiator/Cheetah Cycling kits? Ideas?

Pete

Awesome, Pete. Yeah, definitely, we need a Gladiators and Cheetahs kit ... and some really dramatic John Williams background music when you launch the web site.

Great idea!!!!

once I get the roster, I'll give everyone access to it so we can all have some input!

I think anyone who's done a double century should also qualify for this.

Nothing to laugh about. Double century riders are cool. One thing's for sure ... you're bound to see the same riders if you do a number of them (even if they are from different parts of the state). I think it's really admirable for someone to complete a double, and they earn all of my respect. I have some friends who have completed 90 doubles ... They're the ones who convinced me to do them, and I, like the fool I am, said yes.

You mean like this?

Too bad it's a women's only jersey!

These are kind of gladiatoresque. I bet they could be adapted to work with bike helmets without too much difficulty.

Heh, I've often thought that if I ever end up with a dedicated commuting helmet, it'll end up having reflective tape and one of those dorky mohawks, just for extra visibility.

While I clearly don't qualify for membership, I can suggest an official Gladiator poster...

Since it seems to be turning into something that people are interested in, I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to establish this site...One thing soon is I'll give everyone the PassUser so each Cheetah/Gladiator can post individually. Give me a week...

I'm thinking of Solvang and Davis for the first two. Not sure about the third one just yet. Time to start training: NOW! I think the base needs to be built up fairly soon. I don't have a training plan/schedule at this point, however.
