need help rediscovering a ride near Sebastopol
I am going to be in Norcal and I really want to do this ride that I have long since forgotten. If anyone can shed some light on it I would appreciate it.
fuzzy details.
just outside of Sebastopol most likely west
Was a loop road with a sign that said "Single lane next 60(!) miles
had a lot of climbs and at one point had a turn off to the ocean that said it was a 1 mile descent at a 20% grade
Cant remember much more about it other than it was an epic ride.
Please help me out if you can.

It looks like the road we took during the last Wine Country Century.
Going north and west from Sebastopol, turn left before Graton on Occidental Road. Right in the center of Occidental there a small road going west and uphill. It ends at the Ocean. Its name is Coleman Valley Road. Very beautiful.

thanks. That might be it, but we made a loop that definitely did not include HWY 1.

That's a pretty hefty ride from sebastopol and back, 75 mi or so? You would have had to cross the russian river somewhere from sebastopol.
Even if that wasn't the ride you were thinking of. it's a great one.

could it have been out of cazadero? cazadero rd - king ridge - seaview - to ft ross rd - back to cazadero? ft ross rd drops to hwy 1 if you took it away from cazadero. You wouldn't be on hwy 1 and would have beautiful views of the ocean.

It felt like a hefty ride when I did it, but it was amazing.

Maybe this one? https://www.srcc.com/10_rides.html See the bottom ride. It's supposed to be epic.
