MTB rentals on the peninsula

Anyone know of any places that will rent out some bikes, hardtail or XC dualies for as cheap as possible on the peninsula .... OR .... anyone who has any spare mtbs that wouldn't mind letting me borrow. My friend is leaving for 2 years in a month and I want to take him mtbiking once because I told him it was the ultimate friend/male bonding experience. My name is Jon by the way.

Welcome to NorCal.

Found these on Google:

http://campusbikeshop.com/page.cfm?PageID=275

A cheap rental may yield a lousy, heavy bike. Might not result in the kind of "bonding" experience you want when your buddy has to walk the bike up the hills.

Good luck.

Well one friend is about 6 inches shorter than me and I'm 6'1''. So that might work, the smaller amount of renting needed the better. What kind of bike?

That would be amazing for him probably, and save me a bike rental. Plus he has a strong fear of going fast so I highly doubt he could come close to hurting it in any way. He also walks his bike through everything.
