Sorry, but I'm on a short leash! I'll miss everyone. On top of it I'll be riding to LA next week and I will proudly represent you all. I have my NorCal kit packed and Wednsday of the ride will be the day I put it on and think of all of you.

It was one year ago that day when I realized how much of a family you all are and how important you all are to me. I will spend the day thinking of you and wishing you all were riding on this great Epic occasion. Everyone have fun and be really careful...see you next time...You all rock!

When we're slogging up one of those hills Joel has chosen, we'll think of you on your fixie, climbing a hill. We know you'll be with us in spirit...as we'll be with you in spirit on your LA ride.

Hope everyone had a good ride - I ended up getting out at around 1pm and riding from here (Fair Oaks) up to Pilot Hill on Salmon Falls Road - just a nice 45-miler. But there was HEAVY traffic and lots of drunk drivers, pickups towing speedboats, motorcycle gangs, people honking and side-swiping, pulling the finger, etc. I hate riding on Saturday...

Hey all,

Sorry I couldn't finish the ride with you all. After I left, I rode down Auburn/Folsom Blvd and hooked up with the bike trail at Greenback. (perfect directions, Joel, thanks.) I made it to my car before 4pm, slowed down by a headwind on the bike trail. Damn wind. Anyway, I got a total of 75 miles in 5 hours time, not bad considering the climbs we did.

It was nice riding with you as far as I did. Wish I could have done the last climb though.

Hope to see you all again and do another ride together. Nico and I talked about riding in Napa, so that possibility is out there.

Take care all. Ride safe.

Eric

@Eric: definitely we need to do Napa ride

@Joel: thanks for organizing this ride!!!

Everyone else, sorry I didn't stop on the trail... this was my first century so I had to make it official and accrue the extra 4 miles or so. Then I rushed home and I'm here with my wife. I hope you enjoyed the pizza!

Thanks!
-Nico

Great ride today! I'm going to start a new thread for ride reports.

Eric, I'm really glad you found your way back. I was concerned. Same with Nico!

? on NorCal Century

Hiya--
I'm trying to track down a guy who rode w/us on that century--he's a prison guard from
Davis or Woodland. He had to peel off early. He and I talked about meeting up again at
the LiveStrong Challenge--any idea who I'm talking about? His name mighta been Eric.
Or it might not've.
Thanks.
