It's rainy, but I had bike fun anyway!

So I have a frame/fork coming. I also have a bunch of extra low end bikes. One had been in the garage for years and was covered in sawdust. I figured I could pull the groupset off it and use it for the new bike. Spent the morning pulling the cranks, derailleurs, brifters, etc. and cleaned 'em all up. All I need now for the new bike is a headset, BB, stem, bars, and tires. Oh, bar tape and cables too. Still, not a bad way to spend the morning of a rainy day.

I've got a mostly stripped out Bianchi Campioni 'd Italia steel frame/forkset with a 52cm TT hanging in the garage (still has the BB, headset, stem and bars). Might build it up for a FG/SS, or might sell.

Extra bikes and no rain bike? Still...sounds like a good day

When it arrives and I finish the build, this will be my rain bike. I'll need to upgrade the brake calipers pretty quick, but what I have will do for the meantime.

Good. Maybe when work slows down here I'll get a chance to ride with you again. The economy is in the crapper, but I'm working 70+ hour weeks. I should be happy.

Hey Joel,

I'm a boy scout leader and am leading my kids on the cycling merit badge. Two kids in the troop are looking for bikes now. One is looking for a 51cm (he's maybe 5'4" and might be done growing), and another is looking for a 53-55cm frame (his dad is taller and he clearly hasn't stopped growing).

Do you have anything that you might be willing to sell?

Not right now. We've done a good job of not accumulating bikes, and the ones we have all get used. Good luck on your search.
