DANGER: Dork Disk Recall
I am not making this up.
The Consumer Products Safety Commission has issued a recall of several models of Cannondale bicycles because they do not have a dork disk.
Don't believe me? Here is the link

FWIW - I think this is a good call. My chain skipped and my Tarmac exploded the other day. I was blaming it on the carbon fiber frame but now think it was because I had removed the plastic disk

Sadly the great dork disk safety recall came a little too late for you.

I wonder why none of the bikes or wheelsets I have bought in the last 3 years have one of those stupid discs? I suppose it's because it's totally unnecessary if the bike is assembled by skilled mechanic and only necessary on walmart bikes assembled by uhhh.. less qualified mechanics.

I saw this earlier on another forum, but copy/pasted without the link. I was sure it was a spoof.
Next: Recalled for no kickstand, lack of handlebar streamers, non-existent coaster brakes, and missing bell.
Also, bike appears to be made of some sort of plastic and not real metal.
Seat appears too skinny to support average American butt.
Bike may fall over without expert-level balancing skills.

So, I wonder what kind of reception the first guy to bring his C-dale Six carbon 6 into his local C-dale dealer and ask for the bike to be 'fixed'
Will he be laughed out of the store?
