I would have loved the silver Thomson, but I needed something in stock, and 110mm

It's for the best. You were about out of brake pad in the front. Might as well replace the bike at that point.

So if that snapped inside the headtube, is the inside of the headtube damaged at all, or was it mostly held in place?

All I could say is, don't quit your day job.

Or maybe you could enter America's Funniest Home Videos????

Hmm. I know neither Thomson or King make 1" threadless stuff, so was that set up with 1 1/8" threaded bits before?

King makes 1" threadless. This is a 1" headset

Thomson does not, we are using a shim.

It didn't completely snap until it was in the shop. The shop said the headtube was ok.

Huh. Never seen the 1" model listed before, but there it is. I lerned sumthin'!

In any case, it looks nice. You didn't break it on purpose to justify a bunch of new shiny stuff, did you? :D

Ah, that's good, at least.

So is Ruth going to start captaining? She has the same expression I have on my face while descending 84 on the Periscope.

So shiny! You'll be able to look down and see a joyous smile in your reflection while climbing Alba road!

I'm happy to see that the events of the past two weekends have not dampened your and Ruth's sense of humor. :thumb:
