Tiburon Loop Low Key Sat 5/23

I have to stay local this weekend (won't be able to do the big NorCal ride with Joel this weekend)

I need a good ride on the fixed gear (next week off to LA), so I'm leading a Tiburon loop ride. Maybe coffee on the way back in Sausalito. Might extend it down to Ocean Beach and Golden Gate park too.
50 miles approx.
Sports Basement (front entrance) 9am sharp-ride out
Sat 5/23

.

I'll be in front of Sports Basement dressed warm with green bike.

Fixed/Single speed welcome...will post in that forum

Pete, say it ain't so! I was so looking forward to seeing you again on Saturday. It's not a hard ride. And some of us will be riding at a fairly low-key pace, so you could easily make it an easy ride.

Ah well, have fun.

Thanks Joel, and the feeling is mutual. I'm in the middle of moving so both weekend days I have to utilize for that. I'm just sneaking in a local ride in between. I hope you guys have a great turn out and maybe next time for sure I'll make it. Can't wait to see the picts!

I think the ride over the GG Bridge and along the bike path to Tiburon is usually comfy, even when inland areas are much hotter.

I'm doing it with the fixed gear, hills are pretty easy (two of them). The way you've been riding lately I don't think you'll have trouble either way.

Sounds like a good plan. I just did the same ride the other day, but what the heck, it'll be better with company this time. Looking forward to meeting you Pete - I've seen you on the road before.

It's a beautiful ride and you may see one of the rich and famous folks too, (or maybe at least where they live)....
I do that ride 2-3 times a week.

Once you get on the Marin bike path (starts near Mike's Bikes in Sausalito), look for a sign for Tiburon. Then turn right and follow the signs to Tiburon.

You can also get a very excellent Marin bicycle route map here: https://www.marinbike.org/Map/Index.shtml
It is a free PDF download or $10 for a heavy-duty 2-sided full-color printed map.

How's the wind up there today? It's howling down here in Pacifica. Last Sunday when I rode to Tiburon I swear it felt like I had a headwind both on the way there and on the way back, ha! The only time I felt a tailwind was coming back up the bridge into the city.
