My Bike Bits came in my email box and had a blurb about this ride. It sounds good. Has anyone done it? The Active.com registration says something about rough-surfaced, rural roads. Should I worry with my Allez with 25mm tires? I'm thinking about doing the 60-mile option. How hilly is it? How does it compare to the metric century course on the Tierra Bella?

Have done this ride the last 2 years. It's a nice ride. Seems easier than the Tierra Bella.

YOu should be fine on your Allez w/ 25s. I rode it with 23s and was fine. Course that was a carbon bike. Still though.. the roads seems much better than the Tour de Cure in Napa...bbuuuummmmmppyyy.

Man, you'd think with all the tax money from wine sales they could smooth out their roads. COurse maybe that's their strategy. Save money and keep the drivers alert.

I did it 3 years ago on a Dolce Comp and 25s (I think). That was my Century a Month year, and was my first organized metric. Very pleasant, not too crowded, the food after was wonderful, and the post-ride massages heavenly.
