I'm just thinking how the average "sports" fan reacts. They might wonder which goes faster in racing - a sailboat or a bike?" Yawn...zzzz...zzzz

Yeah, that. Radio Shack has long since sunk below the Line Of Irrelevancy. Didn't they close a lot of their stores not too long ago?

I think the best to hope for would be full-on retro 70s/80s motif. Use the old Radio Shack logo from that period to make people think, "Hey, I remember Radio Shack! That place was great!"

Radio Shack? Well I guess ANY sponsor is better than NO sponsor! RS and "Quality" just do not seem to be a natural juxtaposition. But what the h@!!, an American cycling team gets $$$ and RS get some quality associated with its brand. Might just work out!

Cheers,
Geary

Maybe the team will switch bikes to Schwinn Varsitys (my first road bike) or even upgrade to Continentals (speaking of full on retro)......

I was thinking the same thing.. I can't remember the last time I saw a Radio Shack.. that wasn't closed up because a Best Buy had opened in the same strip mall.
