It's DST for Pete's Sake ride
Anyone up for the ride on 3/13 in Marin?
Somewhat mellow pace out to Nicasio and Pt. Reyes?
It's the day before Daylight Saving Time (https://www.nist.gov/public_affairs/faqs/qdaylite.htm) so it'll be an un-official kickoff for many people's cycling season.
Here's the route. It's mostly out-and-back with a loop up around Pt. Reyes (80 miles).
(Thanks for the route resources Velogirls)
https://www.velogirls.com/resources/r...ningrideV2.pdf
*a lot of the way out (and back) is via small town side roads (Larkspur,Fairfax,San Anselmo) so the pace will be considerably slower due to stop lights and signs.
* depending on the timing and the group, we could opt to turn-around at Nicasio which would shorten the ride to about 62 miles.
Meet: Sports Basement, Chrissy Field (https://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...=17&iwloc=near)
Rollout: 8:45am
Who's in:
blastradius
7bmwm3gtr (maybe)
ccorlew
mylilpony
robocheme
todman007
ahmose
x136
pohlf
bigbossman
brentley
Some new people to meet; this should be fun.

Come on Ron, you can borrow my cellular data card. Or maybe you can switch on-call weeks with someone.

I'm really going to try and make it...I have to try to get out and test the legs. I'm the most out of shape that I can remember being. Sounds like a great time.

Yes, mellow! If we don't want to head all the way out to Pt. Reyes. We can just do the S.P.Taylor park cut-off like last time with the VeloGirls Northern Exposure ride.

Without knowing the route, will this be affected by the closure of East Rd as part of Project Headlands work?

This is pretty close to the route with a Sausalito start point.

Maybe in. Depends on where I'm at on distance (been doing shorter dirt rides than longer road rides lately). If weather is good, I'll probably join you and peal off early, especially since I'll have the extra miles from SOMA.
