Calendar of Organized Rides Suitable for Families
Last summer Fritz_S initiated an effort to calendar rides suitable for kids and I compiled and hosted a calendar of such rides.
This year the organized recreational cycling "season" is starting early and I will again host the NorCal Bike Forums Family Rides" calendar. The first entry in the calendar is the monthly Laguna Seca Raceway "Twilight Rides" series that will run from January to December this year.
If you didn't download or subscribe to the calendar last year you can find it on my MobileMe site:
NorCal Bike Forums Family Rides
The calendar can be viewed online, subscribed to with auto (or manual) updates, or downloaded without subscription. To see event info and relevant links click on the text in the calendar. It is best viewed by month.
I'll continue to add events to the calendar as I become aware of them, so please post new events in this thread, send me a PM or email me with relevant info and links.

Check out our event, The Audi Best Buddies Challenge: Hearst Castle. We have lots of families participate. This year's event takes place on Saturday, September 11, 2010 and heads south along the coast from Carmel to San Simeon, CA with four distance options (100, 62, 35 and 15 miles). For those that do not ride, we have a 5k run and 3k walk at our finish line village. Following the ride, everyone is invited to the Hearst Castle Ranch for a gourmet bbq and private concert. For more information visit: www.bestbuddieschallenge.org.
