I am looking for current information on that portion of the Woods Line rail trail out of Kalamath, Or that goes up to the Merritt Ck Trestle vic. Sycan Marsh. I don't think it gets much action, but photos show a great trestle there. Timber - and so few of those left.
No luck in Aug. 09 on the PNW forum. So, thinking that NorCal might have more in common with Southern Oregon than the boys in Seattle, I'll drop my hook in here.

Been there. I live on TL. The impression I get is that the surface is so rough, etc., that it attracts not much ridership. The bits over to K. Falls are in better shape. But of course, that's where the riders are.
The Sprague River country is scenic, but a long way from a Wal Mart. That is where those ragheads wanted to set up Camp Jihad. (Like they would not stand out somewhat in that area?)
