Upcoming Clinics for Nor Cal Cyclists

Nor Cal Cyclists -

I'm happy to announce that we've finally gotten around to making our clinic schedule for the first half of the year. This year I dialed it down a bit from previous seasons offering nly a couple of clinic options. For additional information please drop me a line - info at sterlingwins dot com. Hope to see you at the races...

Climbing & Descending - This is our baseline clinic. 3.5 hours of focused work on the fundamentals of bike handling, especially in the vertical environment. We start with some basics like braking and turning in a controlled environment, then move to the hills for additional notes and practice on the soft art of going (up and) downhill fast. This is the perfect course for new racers looking to up their skills b/c these translate to racing very well indeed. The first one is March 20th (second is May 8th)
Registration is $75 and the March 20th event can be found at www.sterlingwins.com !

Speed Camp - This is a Criterium focused course that covers some of the key principals in both skills and tactics . We'll work on cornering, positioning, sprinting and some workouts that'll help you better prepare for races. Close quarters riding at race speeds is the goal of the clinic so come prepared to RIDE FAST! Registration is $75 and the April 4th event can be found at www.sterlingwins.com !

*New* Race Camp - This is our first time offering this series. Race Camp Wente and Race Camp Pescadero are designed as a pre-race ride of the course with lots of time and energy spent mastering the elements necessary to succeed on these courses. We'll typically do a couple of laps together and re-ride the crux points like Haskins grade and the finish climb at Wente. We'll discuss tactics and race strategy, and cover some important metrics for each race including a realistic estimate of the power requirements and training demands of the race.

many thanks
