I saw the same rumor here on the Facebook page of the SF Watershed group.

Is that where you got it? I ask because, the more sources it's from, the more likely it is to be true!

like you, i first saw it on the "open the watershed" facebook page. the information was verified in a post by Jim Porter who is the director of public works at county of san mateo..... i think this is real!!!

I think it's real too. There are already road markings. I don't know what else could be holding them up.

I posted this almost 9 years ago...

Finally had a dry Sunday to try out the new road over the dam! Much like the old one. Only problem is that CalTrans has not done anything to repair the road surface on 35 from Bunker Hill to 92, so you have to dodge around the crumbling pavement.

Oh, and as I was approaching 92, I thought, "Isn't there a hole somewhere along here that I always used to hit?" Immediately, it appeared in front of me, too close to avoid. *WUMP!* Luckily not a tire-flattener, but that hole is still there after 8 years.

It's nice to have the option again, because I really prefer it to the interminable slog up Polhemus from Crystal Springs, not to mention the slog over the bridge and up to 92 on the Ralston Trail on the way back!

Have you tried reporting it?
