Lodi Cycle Fest Crit

Today was a second annual Crit in Lodi. It was just as well organized as last year. The same course, and what a fun course it is. A nice mix of sharp turns, wide turns, plus some brick pavement. Tons of fun! :D The atmosphere also makes this a great even to do. There is just something about flying through down town, spectators a blur and cheering. Big kudos to announcer making it interesting for everyone. If they do it next year I highly recommend it. :thumb:

Believe me, it will be there next year! I worked as a marshal in front of the Theater's. I think we had a pretty good turnout spectator wise as well as racers.

Rashaan Bahati signed one of the local junior racer's Cannondale. We now have a very stoked kid!

Thanks for coming out. How did you do?

If I planned better, I could have race and visited my parents in Stockton. Rats.

I did it last year. Good race. I like the figure 8 set up.

Too bad it was 100+ degrees! Kind'a takes the fun out of it, even if you're just spectatin!!
Just worked the Davis 4th of July Crit. Got warm there too, and Lodi is nice and close. Maybe next year after I've shed about 40-50 lbs (LOL)

It was a great event, I was a course marshal on Oak and Sacramento near the Amtrack station, only had 4 or 5 cotton tops try to drive through the barricades to get to the post office. The temps were not too bad for this time of year, it could have been hotter!

Thank you. :thumb: Plowing in to a car is not fun at all. Brings back memories of when I was marshaling: "there is a pack comming", "BUT I NEED TO CROSS NOW!!!!!"

Exactly it wasn't that hot! I think last year it was way hotter. I also had a brilliant idea of riding to Jackson after the crit. Dehydration for the win!
