Thanks to the Good Samaritan on the Coyote Creek Trail today!
My wife and I were out for a ride on this glorious morning! Returning from Morgan Hill on the Coyote Creek Trail, about 1/2 mile south of the model airplane field, I moved over to let two oncoming riders pass. We were downwind at that point, and I was crusing along easily around 25 mph ... and promptly hit some gravel, which knocked me sideways off the trail, and caused me to crash. Self-inflicted ... :-(
My wife quickly rode up to me, while I surveyed my injuries. A rider coming the other way stopped to help ... and we never got his name. He was equipped in sharp-looking Crystal Geyser kit ... mid 20's to early 30's. He helped us out, tried to get my bike functional (to no avail, sadly), and in general was REALLY nice to us.
If he's reading this forum, or anyone knows who it might be, please send him our heartfelt thanks!

P.S. After a hospital ER visit, the diagnosis is SEVERE road rash and a chipped knuckle ... I was VERY lucky. Bike is toast. New bike now on order, along with a new HELMET -- which saved my life for certain ....

Ouch! I've been on that trail a couple times and it can be tricky at a fast road bike pace. Hope you heal soon.
