Scary story. Glad you are okay. I had a slower speed crash last year where I suffered concussion too. I felt like a vegetable for a few days. Get lots and lots of sleep. It really helps. I tried staying awake one time and that didn't go well.

Glad you're recovering. That was one bad crash. Please take your time recovering. You might want to try a little hiking before getting back on a bike. Stay close to home at first.

The people that found me called my wife before the ambulance because I asked them too in my altered state. My wife figured she could get me to the ER faster than calling an ambulance and having them come out and then take me to the hospital. If we had to do it over again we'd call 911. I just hope there isn't a next time.
I had another CT scan today because of my continued dizziness. My doctor is bothered that the effects are still this strong. Staggering around like a drunk 5 days later is a little concerning. When I know more I'll share.

Take note everyone - call EMS if you need quick attention (head injury, blood loss, heart attack, poisoning, allergic shock); driving to the ER is OK for not too serious broken bones, appendicitis, lacerations, etc.
