Anyone take N. Vasco Rd. in livermore?

I've been fishing @ Los Vaqueros a couple of times. I was thinking of taking caltrain and biking there. Wondering anyone bike this route?

It's gotten considerably better since they straightened and widened the first climb going north out of Livermore. Used to be very narrow (almost zero shoulder) and with poor sightlines. Now it has a decent shoulder making it much nicer for cycling - still a significant climb though. Then you have a great downhill to the intersection with Marsh Creek - just watch for debris on the shoulder.

I drive through there once a week. Looks like a tough climb and a great downhill. I do have a few concerns. I've seen too many crazy drivers bomb up and down those roads and the fact that they've incorporated rumble strips because of excessive car accident related deaths. Personally, I'm too scared to even get on that road on a bicycle. YMMV.
