Apple Hill Rides?
I have seen too many miles in the Auburn, Colfax, Dutch Flat, Iowa Hill areas in the last several months in preparation for Triple Crown rides. The hard miles are done, so I'm thinking of someplace different. Anybody got some favorite rides in the Apple Hill Area outside of Placerville? Maybe 25-50-65 miles with stops at good orchards and or wineries? (I can always lengthen it out via Mosquito Ridge and Garden Valley.)
Don't know the orchards, but Madrona and Lava Cap wineries are a couple of my definite stops.
I know the apple season can get pretty crazy on the weekends with cars. Any "less traveled" routes would be appreciated.

Don't know any routes there, but there was only one orchard that was certified to make apple cider. I'd stop at that one. It's either Abel's or Boa Vista.
