San Leandro to Redwood Ride, Sunday 11/7
Hey guys, so I'm planning a ride for Sunday because it'll be my only chance to ride this week and because I have a debate tournament on Saturday.
I figure I'll do the ~25mi route from San Leandro to Redwood to Skyline and back.
I've been off the bike now for weeks. I'll be going slow, but it's also always fun to have someone to ride with as well as someone to push me out of my comfort zone.
If anyone wants to go, let me know. We can figure out logistics prior to Sunday. I figure I'll leave the house at around 10 or 11.
Or, if anyone else wants to go for a ride, but is thinking about a different one, propose it. I can't drive to ride, but I really just want to ride with someone else for a change.

Well, the ride today was fun regardless of the rain. Even though it was just me, I was still dedicated to go out and hit up Redwood. Put my lights on the bike, put on my rain gear and away I went.
Now I get to enjoy cleaning my bike... good times.

We're kinda neighbors, which way did you ride up there? Im in San Lorenzo and going up A St a few times has made me drive to Redwood Rd now. Although, when Im on this side I'm more of a Bay Trail kind of guy.

I start out in San Leandro at the entrance to the Lake Chabot park (not the marina). I either go through Chabot on the walking path, or climb Lake Chabot road to Castro Valley where I then proceed to take Seven Hills until I hit Redwood. I then ride Redwood all the way until I hit Skyline, take a left onto Skyline and ride back to San Leandro via Golf Links. It's take me past my high school, Bishop O'Dowd.
Let me know if you ever want to go for a ride! Seriously, I'm really open to riding with anyone even if you drop me because of how much of a tortoise I am.

I may have to try that ride one of these days. I am sure I will be glad for the compact gearing! (someone has to guard the rear of the pack )

Don't know if you guys MTB, but the Thursday night ride from Endless Cycles was pretty fun last week. People of all speeds, it was not a problem to accomodate us all.

I need to get out on my mtb soon. I bought a nice one off of CL last winter, and haven't gotten it dirty yet.

Last week was inaugural ride. It was pretty mellow, I was on a SS and we chatted the whole way. Just cool to be out there all light'ed up. (4/8 people had MagciShines funny enough).
