I would not have even heard of this if I had not seen an ad for it on the side of a bus.
So I thought I would put it out there...

https://pittcrit.projectsport.com/

Looks like a pretty good afternoon out. Races to watch and exhibitors/street fair too. I think I will check it out since I don't live far away.

If it's the pro/1/2, just win and get your piece of the $5000 purse. Profit!

That's over a dollar per minute of racing... Yeah I think I'll pass. This whole unattached thing is starting to wear heavily on my bank account...

I'm doing the E3 and M123. Back to back, so the odds of me DNF'ing the second race is 2 to 1.

I do, but they only reimburse for collegiate races. I'm welcome to race in my UCD kit on the domestic side, but I have to front the cash for races. The domestic squad I was planning on joining still hasn't ordered kits...

After I won the Pittsburg Crit (Pro/1/2) the podium folk pestered me endlessly. I finally got them to stop by giving them a photo op.

Ok, seriously, it was a fun race, except it was so windy I could hardly stay warm. We watched the women race, and gave up after the pro men started.

Holy crap, that was a windy race. It was like racing in a wind tunnel. I raced the E3 and was hoping the wind would wipe out the skinny little juniors but they were pretty dang tough.

I rode over from the other side of town, and the wind was unreal. I mean I was holding 25 - 28 mph with a HR of less than 110! Stuck around until the women's pro when I realized I hadn't used any sun screen. Thoroughly enjoyed the event even if I did get a bit toasted. The ride home was a different story altogether. On the drops and grunting the whole way just to keep it around 16 mph.

No kidding! Coming out of turn 4 was like getting slapped in the face every lap! Awesome race though, the promoters definitely know how to put on a show. And the men's pro1/2 race was absolutely epic.

BTW, nice meeting you cccorlew. That jersey is pretty easy to pick out in a crowd
