Is it summer yet?

Calendar says June, weather says January. My cat is just looking at me. I think he is contemplating on doing me in. :twitchy:

Went to the LBS to buy a water bottle cage yesterday. When I made a comment about the prolonged winter weather, the cashier called it "June-uary".

sinclac 06-04-11 08:24 AM

Had to cancel my group ride today, that's enough i demand that it stops here and now or i'm going to kick some mother nature ASS!!!!

Beaker 06-04-11 08:49 AM

Sequoia century tomorrow - after WCC 2009 and Primavera 2010 I figured I'd avoid a soaking organized ride this year. Apparently not.

caloso 06-04-11 09:10 AM

I'm debating the trainer v. CX bike v. just layin' in bed all day.

caloso 06-04-11 09:17 AM

#juneuary is trending on twitter right now.

Philipaparker 06-04-11 09:20 AM

I guess I'll put my winter fenders back on. Glad I didn't put away my rain gear.

oban_kobi 06-04-11 09:20 AM

I was going to go for a nice, long, relaxing ride today. Nope! :(

VaultGuru 06-04-11 09:29 AM

When did we move to Antarctica?

powpow 06-04-11 09:37 AM

I'm going out for a short spin in the rain. I hate riding in the rain, but I hate weekend trainer rides even more!

sarals 06-04-11 10:11 AM

I'm playing on my computer. Don't mess with Mother Nature....!

BenRidin 06-04-11 10:14 AM

I wonder how that Auburn Century is working out for the riders today. Toughness...pure toughness.

See anyone at Sequoia tomorrow?

The weather was better down there.

Swapped my wheels and crank to my rain bike yesterday. I didn't think I would be riding it for a few months.

nachomc 06-04-11 11:14 AM

Just a couple months to go. It's only January 4.

uspspro 06-04-11 12:07 PM

Technically summer starts on the 21st.

zip 06-04-11 12:20 PM

When does spring start, technically?

freighttraininguphill 06-04-11 12:32 PM

This year spring officially started on March 20.

cato_mcfly 06-04-11 12:38 PM

How depressing, even though my commuter has fenders, I really can't get the motivation to venture out.

freighttraininguphill 06-04-11 12:44 PM

+1 on the depression. It really needs to stop before Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) sets in. BTW, I heard that the suicide rate in Seattle is higher because of their constant miserable weather.

See my post above. Spingineer and Bostic also may put in an appearance, there's a sizable contingent from Mission Cycling and some folks I work with. We'll see who can H their F U tomorrow AM.

Yup ... I'll be out there. After two doubles in the rain, why not another?

RoboCheme 06-04-11 02:52 PM

Just finished 40 miles in the rain. I like it. Kind of serene out there
