Night Owl Rides in downtown San Jose - Wednesdays
I'm starting a Night Owl ride in downtown San Jose for all the nocturnal riders out there.

Starting time around 11pm
Routes will be ~10-20 miles, pace will be relaxed / social, though that could be up the riders who show up.
* All bikes welcome.
* Lights strongly encouraged.. actually, bonus points for cool/unique lighting. It would be tight to have a rolling light show
* Friendly attitude and good biking etiquette required!
Start at the fountain near the Event Center on SJSU campus (on 7th and San Carlos), end point will usually be someplace in downtown that is open late with cheap but decent edible food (suggestions welcome)
=====
July 27
Downtown Park & In-n-out loop
Here's two options... not sure if cruising Guadalupe river park at 12-1am is such a good idea so might skip it.
In-n-Out closes at 1am so 11-1115 departure would be best
Downtown park & In-n-out loop (without Guadelupe river park)
Downtown park & In-n-out loop
I will be out by the SJSU fountain tonight at 11, leave at 11:15.. i will have bright green LEDS in my spokes so you can't miss me
kinda short notice but if no one shows up we can do this route next week

Thursday nights are my open nights right now. My schedule with my girlfriend is in a little flux, so Wednesdays might open up. I'll get back to you.

Much as I'd love to join you, 11pm is pushing it. I'm of the impression most of us need to get up for w*rk the next day... If it were a Friday or Saturday night, you might get greater participation (also more hazards from drunks/cops on the roads though).

yeah.. i'm trying to find riders who are already up and wanting to ride at night. This ride is modeled after the "Midnight Ridazz Night Owl rides" that they do in LA (like this one: https://midnightridazz.com/viewStory.php?storyId=6993 ) but unfortunately San Jose isn't nearly as much of a 24 hour city as LA is :\
i've posted this a couple of places to increase exposure

There's another midnight ride in San Jose organized by Bike Soiree. Here's a link to the last ride we did: https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=158755467528012
Perhaps you'd like to join us for the next one? We're planning a fun surprise!

Look for the Bike Soiree link on the San Jose Bike Party site. A group of 24 of us did a ride down to Morgan Hill on Saturday night. Down via the trail and back up past the reservoirs. Great time! Join us next time. And I may join you on Wednesday too, but a late night ride on a week night is tough to do for an old workin' stiff like me.

^ sounds like a lot of fun
I drive a pedicab on the weekends though so i can't make it. Our wednesday rides usually only last about an hour and are very chill (I left it in the same gear the whole time), though if you have to get up early it would be hard to make it i'm sure
