Cyclebration!

It's that time. I'm helping to set up for the TT early on Saturday morning. The ride start is only 5 or so mi from my house.

If anyone needs a bed either friday or saturday night, I have an available air mattress. You'll have to put up with the kids and a couple of dogs.

Just let me know!

The expo & some of the race spectating looks fun! I signed up for the MTB Stage race and dragging the fam along, hopefully there will be enough going on to keep then entertained. My plan: Race, eat, nap/sleep, repeat.

I am in for circuit race, now that they changed the course. I wish they changed the course for crit also, damn it's boring! "Oh look they are making another left turn"

I'm missing out this year. Got a wedding on Saturday, and a family birthday on Sunday. Good luck, everyone.

does anyone have more info on the cx course other than http://www.folsomcyclebration.com/Cyclocross.htm? i'm thinking about driving from the bay area, but i'd really like knowing the course details before doing so.

thanks in advance.

Yo Greg (it's Mateo), what did you decide? I can just make the CX race in between MTB stages and heckle, so holler if you're going.

Any place to go for a spin after a circuit race on Sunday?

Bike trail. It's right nearby. Just head toward the river/lake and you'll find it.

That's what you said about the one in Sacramento. I wasn't able to find it. Jumped on some trail by the river, but it ended pretty quickly. Yes I do suck at following directions.

You must! Ask someone there, they'll point you in the right direction.

Here's a map of the American River Parkway bike trail in .pdf format. Zoom in to see all the streets that meet the trail.

Here's my footage of the men's and women's cyclocross races, recorded from several different vantage points.

I did the E3 Crit this afternoon. Finished out of the money but raced well enough nonetheless. Good racing.

A teammate got a shot of me out of the saddle. Not sure but I think I was launching a counter attack after a teammate got caught.

Did the E4 circuit today. The course was awesome! They finally got it right. I specially liked the right hand turn followed by a round a bout, then another right. On final lap it split the field in two. I might even do the whole omnium next year if the circuit course remains the same. Moving TT on to the same day is also a big plus. Now if only they would change a crit course.

P.S. to the photographer in bright neon vest on last corner of the E4 race. Don't stand on the course. Every time we negotiate a turn without crashing it's like a damn miracle, there is no need to complicate things by adding a moving target.
