Newbie road riding in Roseville/Sacramento area.
Can anyone suggest any good places to start looking for a newbie rider friendly group? I'm getting bored riding the same loops around Roseville all the time by my lonesome.
I ride with friends/family, but they are more the 8-11mph type of riders.
The more out-of-shape friendly, the better.

I'd check with the local shops (Hub, Sharp). I live in Rocklin on one of the hills, and at least during the warmer months, see a lot of groups riding through the area.
There is tremendous riding to the east of 65, especially if you head to Loomis, Penryn, and beyond. If you are looking for routes, I know there are plenty of locals on here that could give their suggestions. Maybe the quickest way to start for examples would be to look at JoelS's Nor-Cal East rides. Joining those routes (and leaving off the southerly portions south of Douglas) from Rocklin are very easy and hit a lot of the best roads in the area.

Also, there are bike clubs out of the Del Webb communities (Roseville, Lincoln). I'm not sure if they're exclusive to their communities, but they may go at an "out of shape" pace. I know they do monster mileage; my father-in-law rides/rode with them daily for a long time and they did rides up to/around Auburn from Roseville. They seemed to be most recognizable from their high-viz yellow windbreakers/vests and long trains of riders.
