old tubular rims/wheels in South Bay?
I'm looking for some old tubular rims or wheels to use for stretching tires.
Where would be a good place locally to find them? It seems like a waste to buy some off ebay and have them shipped. |
If you ever make it up to San Ramon, I have a pair you can have for free. You'll need to pry off the crusty old tires, though. :)

Tubular tires fit just fine on clincher rims for stretching purposes. You can press the tires up as high as you would on any tubular rim.

Check at any of the bike coops local to you.
They show up pretty regularly here in Sacramento at the Bike Kitchen. |
