Another Cyclist Killed..

It seems that I am hearing more and more about bike accidents...are there more? Or is just the media reporting more?

More bike accidents, I was thinking the same thing. It's funny how the dead cyclist is always the one who was wrong. Maybe the car driver crossed over the line into on coming traffic?

The article says the driver swerved right, and wound up flipping his car.

I was thinking of the possibility the driver was crossing the line left on a right curve, saw the bike which may have been riding in the middle to near the centerline, and overcorrected right, over the side. Who knows, without a photo of the actual road, hard to tell. Depending on the road, 50mph is pretty fast on a lot of curvy roads.

More people riding bikes (especially inexperienced ones) always translates into
more accidents and fatalities.....................

Most people just starting out are not paranoid enough......
