couple of chaffing/saddle soreness questions-TMI [females only plz]

so, I've noticed frequently when I ride the "left" side only hurts, and even BURNS when water hits it in the shower, it's extremely painful and stings. It doesnt leave any lasting bruises or anything, but its really hurts.

also, under my buttcheeks, developed some sore chaffed red lines, that have now turned into white flaking, which I assume is the healing part.

Yes, I use chamois, yes, I wash my clothing after every ride and take a shower as soon as I get home.

anyone else have these problems? any remedies or preventions?
I use a Terry saddle btw, http://media.performancebike.com/ima...-WHI-ANGLE.jpg

My wife had a similar problem on "softer" saddles. She ended up on a Specialized Ruby. It's rock hard compared to saddles like the Terry, Lady Gel Flow, Diva Gel Flow, etc. That did the trick for her. More sit bone pressure (which was painful at first), but it has been a much better setup overall.

We did two centuries together last year. She had a Lady Gel Flow on the first one and was applying chamois butter at every rest stop. At the end of the day, I wasn't sure she'd ever ride another one.

On the Ruby, it wasn't even an issue.

Good luck.

Bob

Sorry, guy answer...
1. Sometimes shorts don't fit right and slide about.
2. There is a secret womens forum on BF. Just PM a mod and ask. I'll bet they can be specific.
