Anybody know about bicycle accident on Portola road today 7/5/2012?

My husband sent me the following message early afternoon today:

"I saw a bicyclist hurt badly on Portola road on my way in. There was nothing I could do except clog traffic. He was real close to his bike so I think him and the bike went into the side of a van. I saw no signs of movement, nor of breathing. Called it in. Any way to check on Bike forums if anyone knows if he made it? A bit upsetting, that."

Anybody know anything about this rider?

No, but I hope rider is OK. I am guessing van pulled in front of the rider descending from Alpine?

I checked Palo Alto Daily this afternoon and saw no reports of an incident--which I'd take as a good sign. There was a cyclist who died on July 1st on King's Mtn., but it appears that was due to a heart attack and not as a result of a crash.
