Healdsburg Area Route Recommendation

Hi - I'm organizing a bike ride for a friend's 40th birthday next weekend.

The ride begins at 9am in Healdsburg and ends at Bear Republic Brewing in Healdsburg 3 hours later.

I'm looking for a route that is picturesque, relatively flat, not too much traffic and around 40 miles....

Any suggestions on a route? Thanks in advance.

Healsburg -> west on Westside rd -> right on W Dry Creek -> Rest at winery at end of the road -> trace back for a mile then left on Yoachim Bridge Rd -> either turn left for an extra couple of miles to Lake Sonoma Dam and back, or turn right on Dry Creek Rd. -> left on Canyon Rd -> right on Geyserville Av. -> left on 128 thru Alexander Valley -> right on Alexander Valley all the way back to town.

What gpelpel said.

You can check with the Spokefolk bike shop or Wine Country Bikes, for route specifics. The road thru Dry Creek Valley goes toward Lake Sonoma, and Canyon Rd is not that long or tough a climb. Food, water, coffee can be had in Geyserville, which puts you in Alexander Valley. Be sure to check out the Jimtown Store, locals use it as well as touristas. It is located on the route thru Alex. Vly enroute back to Healdsburg. Have fun out there.

This and Tod is also right about checking in at Spokefolk and grabbing something at the jimtown store.

I feel like a dolt, I totally forgot about this one.

(It's 38 if you add the optional 17 to the loop at the bottom) but be warned, if you do I reserve the right to heckle you if I'm doing yardwork when you ride by.
