I'm pretty much all one speed now. Very compatible with the running. My sentiments exactly. Didn't know about the cliff. I'm adjusting to becoming one speed. Decades of instinct take over when there's a rider in front of me and I reflexively want to catch him. Then I pay for it after I get home :( You should try a 'bent. It's fast on the flats. I never thought I'd go slower, especially uphills, because of how slow I already was, especially on uphills.

Gee, I go away from the forum for a few years, and when I come back, everybody I knew is gone! There used to be a big group of riders on the Peninsula and in the Southbay who were active on the forum, but I don't see their names anywhere.
Is anyone getting together for rides on the Peninsula anymore? I'm thinking 'Low and Slow' at first, as I build my fitness back up, but there don't seem to be any! I was heading SB, but we passed too quickly for me to say anything. |

I just woke up and crawled from under my rock. Like everyone else, life seems to take a detour from our passion and what we enjoy most. I'm still in the middle of a life changing event that really takes out the will to go out and ride like I used to. But I will be back :-) for sure. |
