century ride recommendations
hi all,
my friend and i want to participate in an organized century ride but don't know which one to pick. for a second we were considering doing the "tahoe sierra century" but we are having some scheduling conflicts. plus it seems like there are plenty of rides much closer to the bay area (where we live), and that's preferable so that we can avoid too much driving and renting hotel rooms.
what we are looking for is something "big"/"biggest" in terms of attendance/popularity (it's hard to gauge that from most of the info i found on the net), under $150 entrance fee and no fundraising requirement, any terrain/difficulty (i do like to climb).
is there anything you guys can recommend or is it kind of too late in the year and the choices are slim?
thanks in advance.

Here are two that I'm signed up for in the Santa Rosa area -

https://www.levisgranfondo.com
I have not ridden either before but they look pretty awesome and the price is right.

yup, i saw both of these.
the granfondo looks pretty awesome but the 103-mile ride is sold out
plus it's on the same day as the first week of the "low key climbs" and i've been wanting to do that for a long time.
i'm going to look into tour de fuzz more.
thanks.

My pleasure. The Tour De Fuzz only had 200 spots left earlier in the week so I suspect a sell out very soon.

Really great links on that spreadsheet, thanks for that. I just found three rides that I'm going to signup for in the next two months.
