2015?
 

I swear, when they closed the bridge over the dam at the top of Crystal Springs, they promised it would reopen in 2013. Last week I drove by, and the sign says 2015! What happened? Will it ever open again? I love going that way, and I find the Polhemus-to-Ralston Trail route a real boring slog.

One great reason NOT to ride the Ralston Trail - whipping downhill from Ralston and getting to the 'whoop-de-doo' section, and some idiots are riding two-up. On a blind turn, on a path just wide enough for two bikes, where opposing traffic will be going about 25-35 mph. NOT SMART!!

On the plus side, there was a fork-horn buck chasing a doe across the road between Crystal Springs and De Anza, so that was nice.
