I rode the Tour of California Folsom TT course this morning
The course info for the Tour of CA was published a few days ago and this morning I rode the first TT course. It goes from Rainbow Bridge, up Folsom-Auburn to the new bridge, and peaks out at dam level. Then it's a smaller descent to the El Dorado county line on Green Valley Road, and go back the way you came. The TT is about twelve miles. From my front door and back, about seventeen. All on city streets - no bike trails, I guess because of chase cars. It's a nice little ride for a Sunday morning.
With my heart meds and obsolete 10-speed, I made about 11 mph. I'm sure most respondents could do better. But anyhow I figure it will be a nice opportunity for the local cycling nerds to see how they compare to pros.
