Change of pace and scenery
 

With fog, early sunset, and an excess of flat land in the Brentwood area, I've been spending more time on the trails with my CX bike.

I've fitted this bike with SRAM X9 MTB crankset for lower gearing. It also allows me to move the Stages X9 crank arm back and forth between my MTB (also has an X9 crank) and the CX bike.

View from atop the Crest Trail at Los Vaqueros Watershed. Remember the annual Los Vaqueros Dam Time Trial will be held there in ~2 months. :)

Cool. I ride to the dam a lot on the road, but haven't ever done off road there. Is it legal? And where do you start?

Nice! We did some great fire road riding last summer in the Sierras east of where we live. There are literally hundreds of miles of dirt and gravel to explore in that immediate area. Nice to go hours without seeing any cars.
