Tour de Forts - 15, 35, 62, and 100-mile - Port Townsend, WA - June 5

The Tour de Forts is back again, bigger, and better than ever! This day-long event brings cyclists through a beautiful and historic section of the Olympic Peninsula.

Starting and ending at Fort Worden, there are routes to fit all levels of riders:
1. A 35-mile route through Chimacum and Old Fort Townsend
2. A 62-mile (100km) route from through Chimacum, Fort Flagler, and Old Fort Townsend
3. A 100-mile ride down to Quilcene and back, stopping at each fort
4. A 15-mile fun ride for beginning riders to Fort Townsend and back

All proceeds benefit the ReCyclery, the Olympic Peninsula’s only non-profit, full-service bike shop and bike education center. Last year, 160 riders and numerous local sponsors helped raise over $5,000 to support Step On It!, our ongoing campaign to promote biking and walking among school-age children in the community. In 2015, school programs reached over 500 students with a certified 8-session curriculum. Our 4 apprentices received $200 a month each for 2 months, work experience in a shop, and mechanics training. Our Community Shop Days allowed over 100 people to work on their own bikes with professional supervision. We hope to do all this and more in 2016, as well as making major upgrades to our existing shop space.

Register online at https://tourdeforts.org, or on the day of the event at the Chapel at Fort Worden.
