Join the Mid-Valley Bicycle Club (MVBC) on Sunday, August 10, 2014 for its 36th annual Covered Bridge Bicycle Tour (CBBT) starting from the Linn County Fairgrounds just off of I-5 (Exit 234) in Albany, Oregon. Explore the rural roads and depending on the route, experience up to five historic covered bridges in the Mid-Willamette Valley. You'll have scenic views and ride near open fields and over rolling hills with only a few traffic lights. You will be glad to know a large portion of your entry fee goes to support Albany and Corvallis Bicycle Education programs. There are traditional metric and full century options (with an 85 mile option in-between) as well as a 40 mile Family Tour. For more details see CBBT.

This is a fun century ride event with great food and support. This year there are some restoration efforts underway on two of the covered bridges [https://democratherald.com/news/local...4bcf887a.html] so you won’t be able to ride across those two but you should still be able to get photos and a peek at the work going on to protect the bridges for decades to come. The CBBT route is being adjusted to accommodate these changes for the 2014 event.
